Baladna Molokhia ist eine der besten Sorten von Molokhia. * Es ist ein beliebtes Gericht in der Orientalischen Mittelmeerregion. * Die Pflanze gilt als charakteristisches Gemüse für diese Küche. * Einer ihrer Namen ist „Die Königliche“, da der König 1805 ein Dekret erließ, das dem einfachen Volk den Verzehr von Molokhia verbot. * Der Verzehr des Gemüses wurde auf den damaligen Königspalast beschränkt. * So kam das Gemüse zu seinem königlichen Namen. * Malvenblätter werden vorsichtig mit Wasser gewaschen * Bei schwacher Hitze unter leichtem Rühren 5 Minuten erhitzen * Fett zusetzen und 15 Minuten rösten * Knoblauch und Koriander mit Fett in einer separaten Pfanne rösten und zu der gerösteten Molokhia geben * Gekochtes Huhn und Wasser hinzufügen, bis das Wasser mit Molokhiablättern bedeckt ist und nach Belieben Salz hinzufügen * Bei schwacher Hitze eine Stunde lang alle 10 Minuten umrühren * In den letzten 5 Minuten den Saft einer halben Zitrone hinzufügen und gut umrühren * Das Gericht ist servierfertig.
